Yee-haw!!
After a long day with several hours spent at the George Bush Int'l Airport in Houston, I finally arrived at my final destination in Laredo, TX. Most people (except Cindy) have never heard of the damn place, so I was surprised to find out that the city is known for its shopping. I'll have to investigate that claim. Anyway, the city is much more city-like than what I had imagined. There's 11 of us and we have been separated into three different housing units across town. I'm staying with 3 other girls in a one-story bungalow a la San Leandro/Hayward. The weather is a beautiful 80 degrees! Nice and humid, just the way I like it. We have a few characters in the group, but more about them in a future posting. The rest of the group appears to be normal. I just realized that we will have our weekends and evenings free, but in my frenzied packing, I only was able to pack my outdoorsy, hand-me-down clothes donated by my sister. I am not taking any pictures of myself until I go shopping. Ok it's time for class now...
